These people did much more than just make images come to life. In honor of memorable animation legends, here is the list of most influential people in animation industry.

1.Walt Disney – Walter Elias “Walt” Disney was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. A pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several developments in the production of animation and cartoons

2.Hayao Miyazaki is a Japanese film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, author, and manga artist.

3.Charles Martin “Chuck” Jones was an American animator, cartoon artist, screenwriter, producer, and director of animated films, most memorably of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts for the Warner Bros. Cartoons studio.

  1. Tex Avery Frederick Bean “Tex” Avery was an American animator, cartoonist, voice actor and director, known for producing animated cartoons during the golden age of American animation.

5.Ryan Larkin was a Canadian animator, artist, and sculptor who rose to fame with the psychedelic Oscar-nominated short Walking and the acclaimed Street Musique. He was the subject of the Oscar-winning film Ryan.

6.Satoshi Kon was a Japanese film director, animator, screenwriter and manga artist from Sapporo, Hokkaidō and a member of the Japanese Animation Creators Association. He was a graduate of the Graphic Design department of the Musashino Art University.

7. Zenas Winsor McCay was an American cartoonist and animator. He is best known for the comic strip Little Nemo and the animated film Gertie the Dinosaur.

8. Don Bluth is an American animator, film director, producer, writer, production designer, video game designer and animation instructor who is known for directing animated films.

9.Ub Iwerks Ubbe Eert “Ub” Iwerks, A.S.C. was an American animator, cartoonist, character designer, inventor, and special effects technician, who created Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse with Walt Disney.

10.Craig McCracken is an American animator, director and producer. He is best known for creating the Emmy-winning animated series The Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends for Cartoon.
